This is Sid's story, the scatterbrained dog that was taken in by a family and very nearly broke up a good home and happy marriage. It was the wife's unending love, care and patience which paid off in the end resulting in Sid becoming the best friend Man ever had. Tore Fauske was born in Bergen, Norway, and met Arne Gytre during National Service in the Norwegian Air Force. After working in a bank and going to sea, he came to England in 1959. He works as a freelance interpreter and translator and writes for various Scandinavian newspapers and magazines. He lives in Woodmancote, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
