Gordon's Background A native of Derbyshire, Gordon Ottewell has lived in the Cotswolds for forty years, over twenty of which were spent as a headmaster. He is the author of several books on the region, most of which are walking guides and include Discovering Cotswold Villages and Literary Strolls in the Cotswolds and Forest of Dean. He wrote his first children's book called Tangleton in 2005 and followed that with an autobiographical account of his years working in a Derbyshire colliery, in a book called Square Peg, Memoirs of a Misfit Miner. He lectures widely on various aspects of countryside interpretation and has broadcast regularly on local radio. He is Chairman of Cheltenham Writers' Circle. Price:
